Do you need fishing license to fish in a private pond with verbal permission in ohio?

I've been told that anyone over 16 fishing on a private field into a private pond needs fishing license. i've been fishing there for 4 years now with verbal permission and not once was stopped coming or going from the pond by the cops or game warden. do i need them or not? also do you need license to hunt someones private property after receiving verbal permission.
